Some exciting news for London’s hotel scene! The Arora Group has teamed up with InterContinental to open yet another luxury 5-star hotel, this time on the Greenwich Peninsula.
InterContinental London – The O2, opening in Winter 2015, will feature 453 luxurious bedrooms over 18 floors featuring a Sky Bar on the 18th floor with stunning panoramic views across the River Thames, Canary Wharf and the City of London. On top of that, the hotel will boast a 3000sqm ballroom, making it the largest pillar-free ballroom in Europe!
Apart from the big numbers, InterContinental O2 will be the closest hotel to The O2 Arena and will feature a direct connection to the venue which makes it even more appealing to guests.
Sustainability wise, the hotel is declared to be built on land reclaimed from previously polluted soil and designed to feature ‘green’ roofs and surroundings to reduce demand on the mains supply.
